Minecraft PS3 Edition (Version 1.00) - Tutorial World: All 12 Music Disc Locations
So about a month ago, I did a video on the tutorial world on version 1.00 on PS3. But that was just doing the tutorial. Most of, if not all the tutorial worlds seen on console over the years have had one thing in common. The music disc scavenger hunt, an optional challenge with 12 music discs scattered in chests all over the map and you have to find them one at a time. I don't know about in the later tutorial worlds but in earlier tutorial worlds like this one, you almost always got a special extra item to go along with it like an enchanted tool, weapon, or piece of armor. This was one of my most fond memories of my early days playing this game in 2014. Could never find them all back in the day due to my lack of experience. Some of them are hidden in places that don't really stand out well. Given that this has always been my favorite tutorial world, this has also always been my favorite world to do the music disc hunt in, so many creative places to put the discs.
The first one isn't at all hidden just at the top of the steps from where you start which is the one with the jukebox in it as well to actually play the music discs in, but then there's the one in the hidden waterfall room under the castle, the one on the other side of the lava pit parkour course, the one on top of the creeper ship, the one on the mushroom island miles away on the water, the one in the custom desert temple maze, the one in the jungle well, the one in the little igloo, the one in the stone brick circle in the swamp, the one in the spider cave with all the cobwebs, the one in the tower in the extreme hills, and the best of all the one at the nether fortress in the nether with the hidden nether portal you can use to get there inside the giant Minecraft logo in the sky above the castle, just gotta tower up to it.
Even before the next tutorial world came along in 1.12, the locations of some music discs were changed in the 1.04 update when this tutorial world was updated to add more optional tutorials for newly added things at the time like villager trading, anvils, and ender chests. The biggest blow to it being that the hidden nether portal in the giant Minecraft logo in the sky got removed and ultimately the music disc at the nether fortress got moved to somewhere else in the overworld. This is the only tutorial world, and more specifically the only version of one I know of that had one of the 12 music discs hidden all the way in the Nether which I think made this one very unique. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
A quick heads up though, the one on top of the tower in the extreme hills has the “where are we now” music disc. Don’t play this one in a jukebox unless your on version 1.03 or above or it’ll trigger a glitch that causes the main soundtrack to stop playing entirely after you eject the disc. You’ll then have to reboot Minecraft entirely to fix it.
