Here is a suggestion of mine for two new commands, /scoreboard players read and /scoreboard players write that could be a leap ahead in what is possible to make with command blocks.

This is not a totally new feature request - it's one I know lots of command blockers want. What is new about it is that this is a very detailed suggestion that could be implemented. I hope you like it and want to join in the discussion - and also help spread the word so we can get some traction on this.
