Learn how to make a Minecraft hoe with this gameplay tutorial.

I want a farm, which means I need a hoe. So, I'm going to go to my crafting table, I'm going to put two sticks and then I'm going to take a tool material, anything that can be used to make tools, and just put it two on top here. So once that's done, there you go. I just need an area where I can farm. So I've made this area right here, and, unlike all of the other materials, other than durability, hoes don't matter what they're made of. So, diamond is still going to last the longest, but see diamonds, wood, iron, still get the same effect in just one click.

So what you need to do is find a spot, click it and it's going to turn into farmland here. And it needs to have water next to it to irrigate it. And that's going to prevent it from turning back into normal land, or grass, or dirt, or whatever. See, this is getting lighter. But another thing you need to do, and you can see these are ones that are fully irrigated or moistened, or whatever you want to call it, and those are going to be the ones that are going to stick, and the rest of them will eventually get there. See, these are turning back into dirt, and then back into grass.

One thing you need to know when you are hoeing the field, tilling the field, I think tilling, don't walk on the grass, don't walk on the land, because it's going to turn back into dirt if you do.
