Minecraft world pre-generator, using just a single vanilla command block (no mods!)
Updated for Minecraft 1.9: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WSMgOVsnCU
In this video, I demonstrate a way to force Minecraft to pre-generate world chunks from (-1000,-1000) to (1000,1000), so that you can make a new world without suffering all the chunk-generation performance/lag problems during your initial playing of the game at the start of the map.
I use a single command block to build a redstone/command machine, which teleports the player around the map automatically, to generate the chunks.
This demonstration was done using Minecraft snapshot 14w08a, and requires a recent 1.8 Minecraft snapshot to work.
The giant command for the command block is found here: http://pastebin.com/Hzh2KiqQ
