Looks like the Furnace duplication glitch wasn't completely fixed on the August 7th patch. The way I was able to do it was I used arrows. I had two in my inventory. After doing the furnace glitch, the arrow I put in the furnace wouldn't pick up, and as long as I was standing over it, I was able to duplicate arrows using the second one that was in my inventory.
