This is just a fancier way of doing a regular smelting job of your stuff like say chicken or iron ore. The "expensive" part of it is the hoppers in terms of iron and wood. The fuel part can be considerably expensive-ish if you want it full at all times. I would recommend using a design like this with either rocky cover or some kind of disguise over the back part behind a wall or something, like say a giant engine or something mining related. That would provide more authenticity and appear as something that should be there.
