New game for Hypseus Singe - Minesweeper. - THIS IS NOT A JOKE!
I answered the call and made a game for Hypseus unlike any other on the platform. My hope is that this will inspire others to make different types of games from the standard QTE reaction games.

Whilst there are some great community-made QTE games for Hypseus and Singe, the format is now so riddled with shovelware that finding and discovering the great examples has become difficult. So I wanted to show people what else could be done with Hypseus.

Please get creative people. Lua isn't that hard to work with :)

Minesweeper uses no external sprites, all the game graphics are assembled in the code, The only external data source is the video file which is small enough to meet github's size limitations, so it is included with the game files on DirtBagXon's github repository.

Basic control instructions for the game can be found in the auto-generated .cfg file.

If you use RetroPie, Hypseus can be installed directly from RetroPie-Setup. otherwise, it is available from DirtBagXon's GitHub repo at https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypseus-singe

The game files for Minesweeper can be obtained from https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypseus_singe_data
I believe a new folder will be created there for "non-QTE" games.

=== UPDATE === 27th June 2024 ===
Main game.singe file has been updated to enable these extra features, the first 3 are to bring this version in-line with classic Windows Minesweeper
- Smiley wears shades when you win.
- Smiley dies when you lose.
- if remaining tiles == mines then it's an instant win. you don't have to flag every spot.
- Added a touchscreen mode option. Setting the dip in the cfg reveals a "Flag" button to press in game. The button switches your click between Clear and Flag, to assist touchscreen users who might not be able to right-click (i.e. me).
