Minetest 5 Gameplay on Raspberry Pi 400 for 3 hours
My Raspberry Pi 400's Minetest Benchmark on that BroadCom VideoCore VI embedded GPU. It runs at 500MHz and produces 32GFLOPS. It appears to have 4 cores and 64 shaders, which makes it inferior to the RK3399.
Even at 720p here, first, idk if it is 40fps or the RK3399 couldn't keep up even at 720p with x264, but the game ran fairly well. Just below 20fps when lots of overworld is being shown eh?
More optimized games for mobile will run very well. That Minecraft Pi Edition, maybe we will download it and see how it runs on some Banana Pis. Embedded GPUs have compute power, even through most of their games are prerendered and we'll see how that is bad.
Yes, I named my test unit Clare. Just random names for SBCs. Why not? They are nice little machines, they don't hold a candle to large desktops, but they are small and fine regardless, and silent. They are nice as daily drivers when nothing big is happening, or maybe as a music driver.
