Mini plane! The smallest plane I could build in KSP 2.
63The title says it all really: I built a teeny tiny aeroplane!
It's the smallest and most simple plane I could realistically build because:
- You need wings for lift and control, so I gave it those. I used front wings and horizontal stabilisers for better control. I doubt that a small delta wing would have allowed me nearly as much control.
- You need an engine, so I fitted the smallest one.
- Engines need air, so I fitted the smallest air intake.
- Engines need fuel, so I fitted a tiny fuel tank - which also serves as the fuselage of the aircraft.
- For control I wanted a manned aeroplane, so I fitted a rover chair, because it is by far the smallest and lightest thing which can hold a pilot.
- The vertical stabiliser is there for necessary stability and yaw control, also as a place to put the horizontal stabs.
- and wheels. I tired using only one - didn't work. So 2x the smallest wheels is what we have.
I'm a jack of all trades, master of some. I've been a gamer for four decades, and now I think it's time to share some of that experience and joy with others. I love space games: at the moment I play KSP 1 & 2, Juno: New Origins and Elite: Dangerous, and I've played many MANY more in the past!
