Mini Review - The Vagrant + Grind spot.
The point to grind some quick and easy mana / gold early in the game is just past Esgonian Junction, which you come across about a half hour into the game. I let the video record so you can see how quickly you can gain 1k mana in just a few minutes - it really helps if you want to be very prepared for bosses, or find good gear you want to upgrade sooner then later.
Mini Review - the game is alot like old school side scrolling exploration games, like Super Metroid or Castlevania: SOTN. There doesn't seem to be much backtracking ever, but exploring does often feel rewarding. The game itself is maybe 8 hours long if your playing through the first time, and exploring everything. There is abit of a end game where you have a dungeon you can challenge yourself in, and that is pretty tough. There is also a new game + where you can start in a higher difficulty - but keep all your gear. gold and mana from your last play through.
The story was entertaining, and I was curious to know what happened next.
I got the game on steam for a few dollars, and I had alot of fun playing it - its a good distraction if you want a break from another game for awhile.
Given how cheap the game is on steam, and how its a low commitment game, and how fun it was for me, I fully recommend it to anyone curious about this game.
