Minoria is Castlevania meets Darksouls. A combination that can find fans, but also repel other types of players. I'm not a big fan of these souls like games, since a Two Hit KO doesn't feel right, when it comes to such games.
I like to play these games and increasing my learning curve for the mechanics, but even in older games, where one hit kills you, one hit usually kills the enemy as well. And so they where in their way fair.

The beginning of the game is honestly easy, i died on my own for not paying enough attention. But all games have an increasing difficulty and i don't like to start a game with difficulties, because it's a wager if i can finish such a game.

But all ranting aside, the game is quite nice. The Story seems a bit shallow so far, but such a story usually unfolds later throughout the game, so don't be alerted. The controls feels good and responsive. As example, you can always break your combo by rolling away. You find Magic, that you can use by a limited number of uses.
If you find a savepoint, all your magic is automatically restored to full uses and the starting magic is a healing spell, that heals you about 33% of your max health.
These savepoints aren't bonfires, but a Feather and a Inkwell.
To no let you travel all the corridors over and over, the game gives you access to a hub room, where you can connect warp points to, that you find in the castle. It's neat, that there is also a savepoint near such warp points. So if you Reload a game, you start in the corridor where you saved and not in the hub.

So aside the artifitially increased difficulty, the game is good.
