Minority Report (a hit 2002 Movie) is now significantly more than a simple concept, as the UK government pushes for a crime prediction model which aims to identify events before they happen based on several human characteristics and behaviors.
With predictive algorithms already employed in their justice system, the idea of "pre-crime" systems being used for actual law enforcement seems closer than ever, at a time when several other key concepts of the movie appear to be also coming true.
Once again, its a classic example of sci-fi concepts breaching reality, which is becoming an increasingly common theme.
