Dying Light 2 is an action-adventure survival horror video game that features a zombie apocalypse-themed opening world. Taking place 22 years after Dying Light, a new protagonist named Aiden Caldwell (voiced by Jonah Scott) appears, with extensive parkour skills. Players can quickly explore the city by doing things like climbing, sliding, jumping off ledges, and wall running. It has been confirmed that there are over 3,000 parkour animations to make transitions easier. Tools like grappling hooks and paragliders can help you get across the city. Aiden can always use immature people to break his fall. The game is primarily melee based, with most battles using melee weapons. Melee weapons have a limited lifespan and allow players to use them in combat. You can also use long weapons such as bows, shotguns and spears. Weapons can be upgraded using various designs and materials, visible by destroying weapons for production. Aiden's illness gave him superhuman abilities. New zombies have been added. As in the first game, zombies slow down when exposed to sunlight, but become more aggressive and vicious at night. At the end of the day, players can stay on the roof and avoid zombies walking down the road. Zombies hibernate in buildings to avoid sunlight or search the safe interior of buildings for items.
