I asked, you answered...and I try to listen :) Of all the requests for new content on the channel one of the most frequently asked for videos is a series on the Terasic DE-10 Nano MiSTer FPGA hardware...so here it is! Retro gaming goodness.
Recently there has been some talk about efforts to get the Sega Dreamcast working in FPGA...maybe on MiSTer FPGA, maybe on some future device! But if there is one thing I love its ambition...so lets take a look at ElectronAsh's progress with Dreamcast running on FPGA!
Because if the Sega Saturn on MiSTer FPGA is possible with its mess of a hardware setup...maybe something like Dreamcast would technically be possible with a LOT of trickery!

The Sega Dreamcast is my favorite Sega console of all time and the Sega NAOMI is my favorite Sega arcade board of all time...so the thought of them running via FPGA emulation at some point in the future is exciting to say the least. But just because some experimental work has started it does NOT mean its 100% possible. This video is going to look at the feasibility of the potential of MiSTer FPGA hosting a Sega Dreamcast core, what may need to be done to accommodate that on the Terasic DE10 NANO...and just overall looking at the Dreamcast retro gaming hardware and seeing what makes it tick!
But hey...they said PS1 on MiSTer FPGA was impossible and we have that core! Or that Nintendo 64 was impossible and FPGAZumSpass is hard at working making it a reality! If there is one word I hate...its "impossible"
