Companies like Yobo, Hyperkin and Retro-Bit began making clone consoles in the early 2000s. While the products are decent for their price point, the emulation of the games are noticeably poor. Analogue started making their own consoles, but with a focus on quality rather than price. The Analogue consoles use FPGA technology in order to accurately capture our childhood memories. While the Analogue devices are great, there’s a brand new competitor in the scene, created by a team of skilled developers. We call it…the MiSTer.
