You probably think of Capcom, Konami or SNK for Beat Em Ups. Well, Irem started it all with Kung Fu Master. There wasn't much to it. You could only move in a horizontal playfield, and could only jump, kick and punch. Newer Beat Em Ups improved the concept quite a bit, such a TMNT. Irem wanted to get back in the Beat Em Up scene, so they made Undercover Cops, which had similarities to TMNT and Turtles in Time.

Undercover Cops was ported over to the Super Famicom, but unfortunately was never brought over to the US...until now.
