Mitch's Fantasy Movie Reviews returns for season 2. This season's focus will be primarily on how myth, legend, and folklore have shaped fantasy fiction through cinema, which in turn has shaped the tropes we know and love today.

Jason and the Argonauts (1963) is a retelling of the classic Greek myth of Jason, son of Aeson, who quests for the magical golden fleece in the land of Colchis so he can reclaim his father's kingdom. And he does it all with an all star team of the 49 of the greatest heroes of ancient Greece. It's Ocean's 11 crossed with the Odyssey and predates them both.
