After giving Erron's gunslinger variation a go in the online environment it became obvious that the variation's special attack isn't fit for close encounters from more aggressive players. In fact it's also unsafe against zoning characters that can spam projectiles due to the required button inputs. To me the outlaw, and marksman variations are the best.
