I am at a crossroads in my life right now. I want to to do new, exciting things, but the way the world is, the way the media is, no matter how good what I produce is, it isn't guaranteed to be successful. Nowadays, popularity does not equal quality. I'm having a hard time dealing with that. Do I compromise my art for more popularity? Do I do things legit and end up disappointed at the lack of success I could have achieved? I feel like either way, things aren't going to work out and my dreams will be crushed. I am afraid of failure. I either become something I'm not or I become nothing at all. I need advice on what exactly I should do.
