Modular Launch Pads v2.3 Launch Rail Assembly Guide
14An assembly guide / tutorial for the Launch Rails in v2.3 of Modular Launch Pads. All the rails are functionally the same, so this guide applies to all of them, but the Mini Rail does have an extra feature: the launch rod can be moved with the deploy slider.
The launch rails in v2.3 now have an attach node for rockets, but in this guide the rocket, being very simple, is built on the rail.
Tips: Hold down left shift when using the offset gizmo to get 20m of free offset range (necessary with Modular Launch Pads)
The 'C' key turns on/off snap mode, allowing you to rotate or move parts in discrete steps. With the rotate tool or rotate keys, turn on snap and use left shift to rotate in 5 degree increments.
The 'F' key toggles between absolute and relative offset/rotate. After rotatting the rail, use relative mode to move the rocket back onto the rail in one step.
