We had some things to take care of last week and couldn't make some of these videos public, so you guys and gals get two weeks worth of videos instead of one! Yay!

Do you like low-budget adult arcade gambling games? If you do, then Altron's "Moeru Casinyo" (no, that's not a typo) is just what you need to scratch that itch for fans of games of chance and "other" things. Honestly, it's just a fairly mindless and middling time waster where you play different ladies in different gambling events who become infatuated with you for no good reason and you get to see bare tops after each victory -- the game could've substituted these ladies' daring poses with something more tasteful and less humiliating and nothing would be lost, but, well... you know how it goes. Released in 2002 for Sega's Naomi Arcade system, players will get to partake in timeless classics such as Blackjack (aka Twenty-One), two variations of Poker, two variations of Slots (and I highly suggest you choose Slot 1 which lets the CPU stop the reels if you have any hope of winning consistently) and Baccarat.

While Altron is mostly known for developing and/or publishing really niche Japanese titles and International shovelware in other sectors, they have a few hidden gems under their belt with (at least partial) credits for games like "Little Magic", "Missland", "Robo Pit", "Jung Rhythm", "Waku Waku Monster", "Colorful Logic", "Pocky & Rocky with Becky" and a few others. Curiously enough, Altron is not credited for this game in some circles which has made the title even more obscure, but you're not really missing out if you don't play it. I'm really padding this out by recommending other games when I should be talking about this one... but there's not a whole lot to say really.

I suppose something semi-positive is that it's got a relatively clean presentation and they could only do so much with the whole parlor setting and characters, but it's still leagues behind the types of special interests titles that specialize in competitive gameplay and pretty ladies (notable examples being, of course, the "Super Real", "Gals Panic" and "Suchi(e) Pai" series, less familiar being "Tensen-NyanNyan: Gekigyouban", "Ace of Spades", etc.). The audio is also in a similar vein of "forgettable but completely inoffensive" and the game's "Show Time" scenes are as cheesy as you can imagine (a sliding picture you can press a button on for ten seconds to make the ladies repeat their statements with sparkles showering the screen). Is there ANYTHING that helps it stand out? Well...

The game has a basic gameplay loop with a few items or "gimmicks" with the most basic of pros and cons. Players can choose any game against any opponent with the caveat that each game you repeat will raise one level of difficulty. You also get bonuses after clearing each set of challengers that can raise or lower the difficulty level of games, offer a certain amount of points to make winning easier, etc. You will also get one of these perks in the event that you lose and decide to continue, but as these are games more reliant on luck than skill, you can imagine that these perks aren't as useful as they may sound. When all the ladies are conquered, you get a very quick congratulatory statement and that's it; there are no credits. There are nine ladies in total.

If you want a C- tier gambling game after reading or watching the likes of "Kakegurui" or "Usogui", then this game will leave you with the indifference you seek. If you want something like this but more over-the-top, you would do well to seek out Tecmo's "Rakushou! Pachi-Slot" series (it made "Rio" both famous and infamous) or "Dead or Alive: Xtreme" series (casino gambling with great 3D graphics, Volleyball as a core component, and other stuff). If not, well now you know and knowing is half the battle...
