Mohawk & Headphone Jack Game Sample - SNES/SFC
Original Air Date: December 10th, 2009
This is such a bizarre and trippy game featuring loads of potentially nauseating loops and little gravity that it can seem rather unplayable at a glance, though the game presents you with a few essential tools to make life easier and more interesting. Playing as a buff naked yellow guy with a mohawk and headphones (gasp!), you have to collect a certain amount of CDs before you can move on to the next level and you do this by following clues that lead to new areas (usually pointed out by arrows or some marker).
If you're having trouble, you can bring up a map of sorts to help you locate areas you may have not visited yet. Mohawk (or Mo Hawk) can also morph into several forms that enhance his abilities. There are usually numerous secrets on each level, as well as big music CDs to find. The big CDs are cool because they play new music for the level. You only start with one song, but you can change between the ones you collect by pressing start. Some tunes are in fairly obvious places, others are hidden in secret areas. The game is slightly hard to control, but not unfair due to a generous attack cycle which can go on for several seconds.
This video shows the first level, collecting most things (leaving a few behind to save on time).
