Recommend wearing the ghillie mantle while doing this, but if you want to try your luck of capturing it while crouching go ahead though it may fly away. The Bristly Crake, a bird that perch on top of the Mosswines at the Rotten Vale (& also at the Elder's Recess.). Finding this bird took hours, same with the "A Living Fossil" as well. Last rare animal for me now is the "Snuggles for all" one.

Now about the other YouTubers part. Don't listen to other YouTubers that who will say to leave your Palico at camp, saying your cat will scare these rare animals away. No, your Felyne doesn't scare them, from my own experience & watching my brother when he play MHW (& a few other Youtubers) our Palicos never scared them. The only reason I see to leave your Palico at camp is just for it to train (though it get less experience), or you want to have a truly solo experience. The only way they get scared is by your own doing or by a large monster.
