MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD Performance Test on Low End PC (Nvidia Geforce 940MX 2GB & i5-7200U 3.1 GHz)
TIMESTAMPS:
0:48 - Astera (HQ) Exploration FPS
4:40 - Wildspire Waste (World Map) Exploration FPS
12:43 - Ancient Forest (World Map) Exploration FPS
15:32 - Combat (Mixed Maps) FPS
1. Fps counter is on top middle. The average fps for all scenarios is shown in the video as each scenario is tested. The average fps shown is while recording. Without recording add 3-5 fps more.
2. REVIEW: This is legit one of the best ports I've seen in the recent times. I did not even expect to play the game on this laptop let alone smoothly. I'm highly impressed and so far I've loved playing the game with my friends. Highly recommended!! 9/10
Technical Details:
1. If you see some minor stuttering or random fps drops it is due to my under-powered 2 core cpu which cannot handle the load of a game being recorded while it is also being played. Also to blame is my 5400RPM HDD which is actually not suitable for recording gameplay.
2. My laptop uses the GDDR5 version of the 940MX which is upto 30% faster than the DDR3 version. Hence I cannot gurantee the same FPS as shown in the video for the DDR3 version onwers.
3. Moreover the GDDR5 chip set that my laptop uses 512 shaders instead of the 384 in the standard GDDR5 version of 940MX. Also the pixel rate for my chip set is 12.7 GP/s (as opposed to 9.94GP/s) and the texture fill rate is 33.4 GP/s (as opposed to 19.87GP/s) in the standard GDDR5 version. Hence this MAY have some significant effect on gaming FPS.
4. Without recording add 3-5 fps increase and no stutters at all. 5. If you notice the video quality is bad it's because YouTube messes up the quality by compressing the video thus preventing lossless video quality.

About this Game:
Monster Hunter: World is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom. A part of the Monster Hunter series, it was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2018, with a Microsoft Windows version in August 2018. In the game, the player takes the role of a Hunter, tasked to hunt down and either kill or trap monsters that roam in one of several environmental spaces. If successful, the player is rewarded through loot consisting of parts from the monster and other elements that are used to craft weapons and armor, amongst other equipment. The game's core loop has the player crafting appropriate gear to be able to hunt down more difficult monsters, which in turn provide parts that lead to more powerful gear. Players may hunt alone, or can hunt in cooperative groups of up to four players via the game's online services.
