Mark and Bert are now in the Dark World Tower, which is this game's only vertical scrolling level. The only reason you'd want to deal with the enemies here is in case you need a pill to turn into Bert, otherwise don't mess with them. Also keep in mind to only defeat two of the three bosses in the Tower, because defeating the third boss will cause you to be stuck here forever.
