MONSTRUM #00 │ Introduction
"THEY ARE ALL GONE. I AM ALONE... OR AM I?"
This is the story of a nameless fellow, just an average Joe working aboard a large cargo vessel, shipping goods back and forth. It was supposed to be another tedious shift, crossing the sea like usual - but this time something decided to go horribly wrong. Our protagonist awakens from his slumber, all memories gone from his confused mind. Where am I? To make matters even worse, the crew has gone missing as well, not a single soul left. Instead of them a monstrous abomination now stalks the empty halls of the ship... And it craves to feast on human flesh.

"Monstrum", released by Team Junkfish in 2015, takes the traditional survival horror formula and remixes it completely with a variety of challenging elements. The massive labyrinth of a cargo ship offers levels of procedural generation, permanent death and AI driven predators - among many other things. Death could be lurking around every corner, even the environment has a few tricks up its rusty sleeves to kill the player. There are three types of monsters in total, each with its own behavioral pattern. Escaping them won't be a simple task! Do you have what it takes to survive?
The concept of this game truly intrigues me so much. Intelligent enemies are always such a dangerous threat, especially in tales of horror. The creature could be anywhere, not scripted in any way, just lurking about... At all times, that feeling never leaves your side, the knowledge of impending doom. Where is it now? Did it hear me? Can I dare to enter certain parts of the ship? It keeps you on edge - without a single hint of mercy. Can we make it off the accursed vessel in one piece? Join me, ladies and gents... A dangerous voyage awaits.
Please enjoy the show ❤
