Moon Cresta Arcade
The war has began from Galaxy to Galaxy. The almighty Aliens are advancing to planet Earth. The horrific battle is with us.
CR47 is the player ship, a multi-stage battle rocket developed by Lunar Recovery Army Moon Cresta.
Units I, II, and III dock to form a large battle rocket with a variety of weaponry.
Originally, Unit I was developed as a general purpose battle rocket and used as lunar base security, but it was urgently given an offensive upgrade to fight against the sudden invasion, and Units II and III were developed as additional enhancement boosters.
Each unit is equipped with a beam cannon and is capable of solo battle, and when docked becomes able to deliver a barrage of fire over a wide area. This enabled the CR47 to adapt to a variety of combat situations, and its successes in battle exceeded initial expectations.
When all three units are docked, the CR47's propulsion is increased tenfold, allowing it to escape Earth's gravitational pull and perform interstellar flight. This led it to be known as the Rocket or Shuttle Rocket.
The CR47 was the first ship in human history to do battle with extraterrestrial lifeforms, and the data it collected during combat contributed greatly to the field of astronautics. It also became a beloved symbol of Earth's defense, and can be viewed in its original state in air and space museums.
So about the gameplay, the player begins the game with a small spaceship armed with a single laser cannon.
After successfully completing the first four waves of alien attacks, the player must attempt to dock the ship with the next 'stage' of the ship.
This second stage has two lasers in addition to the original one. Each docked stage is one of the player's "lives".
After successfully clearing two more waves of aliens, the player must again dock with the third and final piece of the ship, which also has two more lasers (giving the player five lasers in total).
The trade-off for this is that the entire ship is a much larger target. Failure to correctly align the stages during either docking sequence causes the destruction of the stage being docked with.
After completing the first eight waves, the player's ship reverts to the first stage and the process is repeated.
If any of the player's three ships are lost along the way, the docking sequence occurs only after the first four waves have been completed. Play ends when all three of the player's ship-stages are destroyed.
