Moonshadow - Commodore 64 - longplay
Moonshadow was one of the two early games from Idea, an italian software house, together with Bomber Bob for the Amiga.
Initially the intended title was Gods of Wrath.
Programming, graphics and sound were created by Paolo Galimberti (Gorgonzola, 20 December 1968), who made use of various editors previously created by him, including a graphic editor which appeared as listed in the MCmicrocomputer magazine.
The graphics of the levels are inspired by the better known The Sacred Armor of Antiriad, Galimberti's favorite game at the time.
Intro had a music, but i had to cut it off sadly, due some copyright issue..however game starts at 01:14
Many many many thanks to Minotaurus985, the friendly neighborhood C64 expert, for playing the whole game, as part of the videogame endings database, whose goal is to catalogue and create the world's largest archive of videogame endings! (what an humble and not ambitious project :D)
Here also some mixed notes he told me about the game:
• pay attention to the poison that takes your energy little by little when you open the door of the west tower
• i showed the glitch to go up quickly from some screens
• if you don't take certain items you die immediately and in the game you have only one life, see that heart at the bottom left and the dagger that gets closer as you take damage
• if you get to the final boss without amulet you die instantly as soon as you fall in the final room
• if you forget to take the last weapon you won't do any damage to the final boss
