Moonwalk Dash Attack (Smash 4 Technique)?
***PLEASE READ***
Okay so I was in training and I was wondering if only there was a way to change the direction of your dash attack in mid dash but there really isn't but what I noticed is that if you wait for your character to enter a turn around animation, you can cancel their movement by moving the c stick in the opposite direction and lock their movement. As this happens you can buffer a dash in both directions and dash attack. so do it you simply :
1.Dash
2.Turn Around and hold the c-stick (at the beginning of the turn around animation) in the opposite direction.
3.At the end of the turn around animation let go of the c stick while taping a direction to dash in
4.dash attack
With practice it can be done faster but it depends on the character because of the different turn around animations. This could be used to bait counters can be cancelled with f smash, f tilt, by not moving, or you can roll out as long as you don't hold the c-stick. It's easier to do with Sonic but it can be done with any character so long as you time it right with the turn around animation.
