Morbid Seven Acolytes is a Top Down 8 Bit Retro Style Action RPG Souls Like Game.
This is my First Time Playing it and i forgot how Games like this back in the day felt to play compared to how games are now which was fun seeing how clunky the old style of gaming was again.
Once you get to grips with the movement, combat, stamina bar you will find the game gets easier and the enemies are easy to read if you pay attention.
Granted the looks of the levels and gameplay get repetitive without any real variation but there is fun to be had if you like Souls Like games.
I do Not Recommend this game at full price but rather wait for a sale like i did.
Overall the game is ok and would be above average if it had more variety like more weapon types and firearms or spells/magic but as it stands the game does not have these things a part from a couple firearms and some different swords. Granted you have items to improve your weapons like fire on your sword ect but in the grand scheme of things that just becomes a cosmetic damage buff to an already common sword attack.
If they did another game like this and added the the things i mentioned then the game would be a lot better.
Still worth trying and in the meantime i look out for more Souls Like games or Retro Style games to enjoy and upload.
