29Understanding generator build times, queuing scarabs, time bonus, etc.
Generators increase in build time based upon the number of generators when placed. Building generators in the order in which they were placed will increase the speed in which you are able to get them up and running.
There is an argument for a turret here somewhere for PVP. Keep that in mind.
Necron Warriors have a similar mechanic - the more on the field, the longer they take to build.
Addendum: Do as I say, not as I build LOL. I clearly do 13542 as opposed to 13524.
