More powerful mods coming to Dwarf Fortress via Lua
833In this video Dwarf Fortress programmer Putnam shows off a new feature we're working on, in which players will be able to use Lua in their mods to literally change the code to make custom behaviours and adapt the systems more expansively than ever. It's dangerously powerful and should result in a new age of Dwarf Fortress mods previously deemed impossible. In the future, Tarn and Putnam will also use this new Lua functionality to create (and expose) the magic systems, across all modes of the game.
