Bo rai cho may be the joke character of the game but shujinko's whole life is a comedy special that lasts his entire lifetime. His name literally means protagonist. Shujinko is the main character of this game's conquest story, starting him off as a kid and ending when he's an old man fighting who got tricked into helping the bad guy. when i tell you this man spent his entire life trying to prevent the threat to the realms i mean that literally... and there is something kinda inherently funny about that. honestly after this game no one really cares about him its cute that he comes back in MK1 as a cameo but i dont think anyone can actually take him seriously. you spend the entire story learning how to use him and cleverly use him to learn most of the other charcters of the game. honestly conquest is way better executed the more i think about it. shujinko's moves are kinda nothing and his fatalities are okay at best. i find it interesting that even though you end his story the ending we see here doesnt happen unless you beat arcade mode. his ending is canon btw. shujinko is the one that ultimately beats onaga in this story until armageddon happens. it took everyone giving their power and abilities to him to do it but it was him. I dont really have any thoughts on the guy. i may not care about him but i do love the conquest mode of this game...... maybe i should do a lets play on it.....
