JADE PLAYTHROUGH
In Mortal Kombat II, Jade is one of the three unplayable secret characters. She doesn’t have any storyline and can be only fought under specific conditions.
To fight Jade, a single player mode has to be started. When the player reaches the character before the question mark, he/she must win the round using only low kick. Special move that uses low kick as well as fatality input finishing with low kick is allowed. Doing so will transport the player to Goro's Lair against Jade. She can also easily be fought by doing the following button combination on the character selection screen: Up, Down, Down, Left, Right + Select then choose a character after the sound cues play.
In the Super NES port of Mortal Kombat II, the secret's character is unplayable. However, it is possible to play as them with a hex editor or a cheating device. Unfortunately, they are very prone to crash by doing most action beside high punch and walking. On March 2009, an unofficial patch was created to allow the secret characters to be playable without crashes.
Included in the patch are cheat code to play as them without cheating devices.
Down, Down, Down, Down, Down, Select will cause a sound to play. Choosing Mileena will allow the player to play as Jade.
Jade walks faster and has more health than the regular character. This patch gives her the entire moveset of Kitana, including the fatalities. Jade is completely immune to the projectile, causing them to go right through her.
To be as faithful as how the CPU controls her, only her standing Fan Throw is used and no fatalities are performed since she doesn’t have any input to perform these in the original game. A player-controlled Jade is also immune to the projectile.
Jade’s speed allows him to get closer to the opponent than a normal character. With this in mind, she can quickly setup jump kicks or sweep against his opponent. What makes her much better than the other secrets character
Jade’s ending default to Kung Lao’s to prevent crashing. This is a result of the patch since the game freezes on the original game.
