The Mortal Kombat port for the Sega Master System was released in 1993. It was a scaled-down version of the arcade hit, developed by Probe Entertainment and published by Acclaim Entertainment. This version was specifically made for the Master System’s more limited hardware but still managed to capture the essence of the original game.

While it was an impressive effort to bring Mortal Kombat to an 8-bit system, the game suffered due to the Master System’s hardware limitations. Compared to the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive or even the Game Gear version, it was more sluggish and lacked detail. However, it remains a nostalgic title for those who played it back in the day.
