Just before someone says anything, the game is designed to run at 30fps, and the game is TOO DAMN DARK BY DESIGN. I already bumped the brightness by 25%, there's not much more to be done when the scene is pitch black, at least it looks better than my previous playthrough which looked indeed too dark.
Mortyr can be easily described as the Polish discount Wolfenstein game. The germans won WW2, no one knows how but they anticipated every move from the allies. You are Sebastian Mortyr, and you are being sent to the past to fix everything the axis altered by time travelling. Developed by Mirage Media, the game struggled finding a publisher, delaying it to 1999, and just like many other shooters from the era, releasing after Half-Life meant your game was doomed. It's not that eluding it would have saved this game, because honestly, it is not good.
The game sports its own engine, which is commendable, and the effect of the glass shattering is awesome... Those are the virtues. The game is locked at 30fps, they overused the colored lightning too much, the animations range from meh to laughable, level design is very bad (some nice looking locales, stitched together with blocky, dark, underdetailed corridors. It gets better in the later levels, but lots of copy/paste), levels which range from 1min long to 10mins, some levels are just the same room twice, the crosshair has a bad offset, non existant AI (box says it improved with skill level... it doesn't), no music at all, and nonsensical plot.

Antes de que nadie diga nada, el juego está diseñado para correr a 30fps, y el juego es DEMASIADO OSCURO POR DISEÑO. Ya he aumentado el brillo en 25%, pero no hay mucho que hacer cuando la escena es completamente negra, al menos luce mejor que mi playthrough anterior que sí era demasiado oscuro.
Mortyr puede ser fácilmente descrito como el Wolfenstein polaco de baratillo. Los alemanes ganaron la 2ªGM, nadie sabe cómo se anticiparon a todos los movimientos de los aliados. Eres Sebastian Mortyr, y has sido enviado al pasado para arreglar todo lo que el eje alteró viajando en el tiempo. Desarrollado por Mirage Media, el juego tuvo problemas para encontrar distribución, retrasándolo a 1999, y como otros tantos de la época, salir despues de Half-Life significaba que tu juego estaba condenado. No es que eso hubiese salvado a este juego, ya que es francamente no es bueno.
El juego usa su propio motor, que es destacable, y el efecto de los cristales rompiéndose es genial... Esas son sus virtudes. El juego corre a 30fps, se han pasado usando las luces de colores bastante, las animaciones son de meh a risibles, el diseño de niveles es muy malo (algunos sitios lucen bien, pero están conectados con pasillos oscuros y cuadrados. Mejora en los últimos niveles, pero mucho copia/pega), los niveles duran desde 1min hasta 10mins, algunos niveles son la misma habitación dos veces, la cruceta está mal ubicada, IA inexistente (la caja dice que mejora con la dificultad, lo cual es mentira), no tiene música, y el argumento no tiene sentido.
