Motherboards 101 Part 1 : What is a Motherboard? The Why & Uses : Major Layouts & Various Sizes
I have been meaning to start a new series on the channel where we will discuss PC hardware, technology and components in by(i)te size pieces, hence Tech Bytes was founded.
In this two part series we will take a brief look at Motherboards. The various layouts and form factors of mobos all in Part 1.
And, if you stick long enough with the series we'll discuss the various things to consider while choosing a motherboard in Part 2.
This video as well as the subsequent videos in this series should be helpful for beginners and PC veterans alike.
Those who are new and just starting their journey in the PC domain and, would like to know more about computers, the various technologies and hardware employed in building one, this video should be helpful. For the experienced, this video might act as a refresher.
A motherboard is one of the most critical component which is used to build a PC. It is the mainboard to which all the other components like the CPU, RAM, GPU etc. attach and get their power from. Nowadays you'll find a plethora of motherboard options in the market and, to add to the confusion Intel and AMD, each have their own chipsets, socket types and compatibility with the various CPUs (which will be covered in part 2 of the Motherboard series). We will also discuss the two major motherboard layouts and the most common mobo form factors available in the market.
I hope this video will be informative and if you liked it do click the thumbs up, share, comment and don't forget to subscribe to the channel for more tech related content.
Thanks for watching,
