Moto X Simulator - Commodore 64 - longplay [real hardware]
Title screen actually says only "Motocross".
Player must face 9 levels: five skill tests, getting to the end of the course without falling, and four time trials, where the finish line must be reached before time runs out.
During skill tests the motorbike constantly advances automatically and the player can only do wheelies at variable angles and jump. To overcome obstacles, the wheelie must be combined with the jump in order to land correctly on the rear wheel, otherwise you will fall.
During time trials the player can move the motorcycle in all directions, although it is always facing upwards, and only jump using hills. When you are in flight, a secondary window appears with a side view of the motorcycle, so you can adjust the inclination and land correctly.
In all levels, falls cause the loss of a life and require you to start over from the beginning of the path. You win a life each time you complete a level.
As usual this is from minotaurus hard work! Here what he said of this game:
Nice and simple title by the same developers of BMX Freestyle (many graphic assets were taken and reused ).
As a child i played an italian bootleg "Bassi Regimi".
Gameplay:
Jumps are measured by button pressure: the longer you hold it down, the longer it will last.
It is essential to learn how to master this, since certain parts require shorter jumps while avoiding falling (remember if you lose a "life" you have to start the test again from the beginning).
During the Time Trials, if our speed is too fast if we fall we'll lose a life, while if we crash at a lower speed we don't fall and are still able to continue the test.
Unlike BMX Freestyle which loops ( • Video ), Moto X has an ending.
Compared gain with BMX Freestyle I think it is slightly simpler and less frustrating even if it has a monotone gameplay.
This video is part of the videogame endings database, whose goal is to catalogue and create the world's largest archive of videogame endings! (what an humble and not ambitious project :D)
