Title: Serendipity
Happy Valentine's everyone! This was pieced together this month after a few failed attempts at finding a version that was satisfying. Don't worry, I'll spare everyone the meh versions of this. But this one turned out much better. Some of the piano strikes might be a bit harsh and some piano critics will say I played sloppily (and they'd be right, I'm not a properly trained piano player :P), but I think some of the latter just makes it feel that more real. Because it is. While I was never a fan of the Valentine's holiday for many reasons, not the least of which is how many of them went by that I was single, I think a day where people can appreciate those significant others is an important idea. There's a lot of people that can let stress and life get in the way of feelings and muck things up for them. So having special reminders is helpful. And it's not about cards or flowers or chocolates, it's about that person you care for.
And that's exactly what Dana is. That serendipty of a random decision to try out and stick with a silly little browser game and running across someone that can live with my sense of humor that has no off switch, my borderline otaku levels of anime and video game fondness, and of course all the baggage my life has drug about behind me after living with so much. So this simply little tune is just a meager celebration of appreciating, after so many years, that someone found me and loves me despite and maybe even for the mess that I am today. So, to Dana and all those special someone's out there that make a person feel wanted, needed and loved: Thank you and Happy Valentine's Day. :)
