Developed during the Second World War by the Germans, the Machine pistol 40 - or MP40 for short - was one of the most prolific submachine guns used by the nazis during the war, with over a million being produced.

In Call of Duty, the MP40 is as equally prolific as the real life weapon, featuring in the multiplayer of 7 Call of Duty games to date.

So which is the best? Does the high damage of the World at War weapon easily outclass the more recent variants? Or do the weapons from sledgehammer’s games offer something more?
