Roland's MT-32 was a budget synthesiser released back in 1987. Unlike its contemporaries it became part of a new wave of digital PC music. James talks about the practical uses of a device he's never used, and the impact it had on both the music and scores from the games of that era. He then talks about the de-facto software alternative Munt, before discussing a free alternative recently released by Hedsound and the GM-mapped version uploaded to Musical Artifacts.
