Sins of a Solar Empire II is an epic space strategy game that can be played in many different ways. It’s a fantastic single player game of course, but once you’ve gotten your head around the basics, jumping in and playing with friends is a whole new experience. We’ve already covered playing cooperatively with friends, which is one of the most popular ways to play Sins with other players, but The Sins II community has a thriving competitive multiplayer scene too, where intrepid players, either solo or in teams, take on their opponents in a head-to-head struggle for supremacy.
In this episode, we’ll examine ten notable multiplayer maps and what makes them exciting to play in competitive games of Sins of a Solar Empire II. Note that these maps can be played with many variations of different team combinations, and the examples given here are by no means the only way to play each map.
Furthermore, all of these maps can be played single-player, with AI team-mates and opponents replacing other human players. As always, you’re free to play the way you want to!
