Hello everyone,
In this installment we're looking at the Chromatic Mediant technique. This is a wonderful techinque to inject your chord progressions with colors unavailable in a diatonic system. This technique pops up VERY FREQUENTLY in music, especially from the Romantic Period and onward (but also before). If you're here for learning video game music, then yeah... be ready to see this technique pop up A LOT! Many of the transcriptions I have already done have this technique in use, so even if you're not familiar with this concept, you mostly likely have heard it loads of times.
This video will ONLY cover the concept. It will not provide musical examples FROM pieces of music. That said, I will be providing musical examples in future videos that will EXPLAIN how this concept is being put to use!

Look out for future tutorials, examples, and transcriptions!
