I disliked the fact that peons were also aggressive in his patch, so I made my own. Yes, I sat down and manually sorted out which one was an officer and which one was not. Do notice that I was only guessing and couldn't read Kanji, so I might have made a mistake somewhere. If so, report it to me so that I can update it. Thanks in advance.
So what changes about AI?
This is for AI vs. AI only since the AI is biased against the player. They can fully use their R1, Musou, and more when targeting a player. When fighting each other, they spam S string most of the time. This patch made it look more like a real fight. Here are the general rules:
Instead of S String only, they can now also use C1-C3. Air S1 and Air C1.
Power characters can't use R1 against AI (but can against the player).
Tech characters use R1 but only on their C1.
Speed characters can use both of their R1.
Selfbuffing R1 doesn't actually give any buff to the AI, rendering them pointless, but they do a quick stun. Giving them some value.
Mitsuhide and Cao Cao arrows count as a buff, so they don't work and don't stun either. (Also apply to a few other moves)
They can Musou charge an attack or defense item for 30 sec.
What did you change to achieve this?
The value 9 you see me showing in the beginning, is LP19. Basically, this column determines AI's movement awareness. Originally, a lot of these NPCs had this value set to 8. The ones who have a value of 9 are those who you expect: Orochi, Lubu, Keiji, ... But there are some oddballs like Okuni and Magoichi who also get set to 9. I guess their S string was that bad. Even some significant generic like Meng Da and Hua Xiong got 9. So yeah, one little number makes all the difference.
Only C1-C3? What if I set the LP19 value higher?
They can indeed make more moves as you increase the value, but there is a cost. They can produce C2-6 if set to 12, but they will never block. Unfortunately, 8 or 9 are your only options if you don't want it to be a cakewalk. There is a workaround like editing the movesets, but it is for the advanced users of the editor.
Wait... Sun Jian R1!
Yes, Sun Jian will essentially slowly suicide as he keeps using R1. I already set him back to 8, so you don't have to worry about it.
AI Tier List?
I don't have the time to, but I can make a few statements. Mostly everyone went up a tier. Very few got downgraded. For example, we have a wide C1 like Goemon, making him very good at crowd-clearing. Nobunaga can deal a bunch of damage to a single target with his C2. Oh, and let us not forget all DW leaders' swords C3. But then, we have someone like Yukimura, who takes too much time to wind up his C1, letting him get hit way more than before, and the aforementioned Sun Jian.
