I've mentioned the Shotgun Effect in many videos, but I've never really gone in-depth in explaining it. Basically, when you're using a shotgun and doing well with it, someone has to try to one-up you by using the Striker, which is clearly above and beyond the best shotgun in the game.

The weapon variety in MW3 is depressing. Everyone just uses the same guns. How many MP7 or ACR MOABS have you watched on YouTube? How many times have you been mowed down by a Striker in-game? Weapon diversity is a thing of the past it seems. People just opt out for the stronger weapons, to give them the self satisfaction of a K/D above 1.50. Pathetic really.
