Appearing unannounced and for the first time since losing to NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, Johnny Gargano makes an appearance, still showing the effects of the Last Man Standing Match. Gargano admits to making a lot of mistakes, adding that he let his supporters down and conceding that he can't shake the specter of Ciampa.
NXT General Manager William Regal quickly changes topics to his investigation into Aleister Black's attack, asking Gargano if he was involved. Gargano answers by telling Regal to look into his eyes to find his answer, at which point Velveteen Dream saunters into the arena.
Still flying high after his win against EC3 in Brooklyn, Dream laments Gargano's speech and demands that attention be paid to “The Experience”. Gargano then nearly throws down with The Dream until Regal stops them and announces that the two will have to wait to settle matters next week!
