I would definitely say I've improved as a player by the time I reached this rank. I was no longer focused on 3 stars everything = strong but I've also started paying attention to econ. I'm definitely not there yet in terms of reaction time though lmao. Sometimes when I have to do a quick board reshuffle I end up freezing and confused where I should put things.
There was a lot of time spent in Emerald III-IV due to learning pains. The skill ceiling definitely spiked. You can't just slot in units without considering if you're being contested or not taking into account how many units are already in the lobby. Watching streams helped. Other creators' comp guides definitely helped, not simply due to their builds, but also due to the little things they mention about econ, item slamming, and positioning.
If I had to mention someone specifically it would actually be @MortdogTFT 's streams and videos. I noticed that he usually ends his games at level 9 or 10 while my boards are 7/8 at usually. I'm still not there tbh since I do greed rolls at 7/8 to complete my carry. I re-watch his videos to figure out how he manages his econ. I think that really helped me a lot in pushing across emerald.
