MY GPU HAS DIED - GoFundMe Campaign - I need your help!
This morning, my GPU unfortunately passed away during a recording of the Ikko Ikki campaign. This leaves me in the unfortunate state of not being able to record any videos. As YouTube is my full-time job, this essentially means I cannot work. I need a new graphics card, but as you might be aware, good ones are rather expensive, hence why I've decided to start a GoFundMe page in hopes of getting some support from you fine folk. Everything you need to know is mentioned in the video, thank you.

"As I was recording a video on everyone's favourite Shogun 2 Monk Only challenge run campaign, my PC all of a sudden shut down. Upon restarting I realized my GPU had unfortunately passed away. As a YouTuber a solid GPU is one of the most important things, because while my commentary might be shit, I want to at least make sure my video quality isn't. Having said that, GPUs aren't cheap. The dying of this one came at a most inopportune moment, as I have literally just bought a car less than 2 weeks ago, and I will be moving out into an apartment with my girlfriend in December, so there are many other costs yet to come.
Which is why I decided to start a GoFundMe campaign to fund my new GPU. I always try to turn a shitty situation into a positive, which in this case means getting a better GPU than I had before. This means that while it's a shitty situation to lose my current GPU, at least my future videos will be even better quality than before. This is why I have chosen the Asus ROG-STRIX-RTX2080-O8G-GAMING for my next GPU. I have read a lot of reviews today, and noticed this one constantly being named as one of the best 2080 Supers out there.
This of course brings us to the price. I realize that €892 (Price here in the Netherlands) sounds like an absurd amount to spend on a GPU to some of you, but as a YouTuber making Total War videos at 1440p60 I can guarantee you this isn't that crazy. I could certainly get something a little cheaper, like the 1070 I used before, but this way I future proof myself for at least a couple of years, and I won't have to worry about having to reduce my video quality on future games.
Currently I am unable to record videos while I don't have a GPU, but fear not. No matter what happens, I will buy this new GPU, even if I get no support whatsoever, as it is for my work after all and I can't do my job if I don't have a GPU. Having said that, I would be extremely grateful for any help you might be able to give me. YouTube is my full-time job, and despite what some people might think, I'm not swimming in koku. As a matter of fact, I barely get by, and an investment like this is not something I can easily afford.
I have decided to set the goal of this campaign at €500, as it will cover the majority of the cost for the GPU and will result in me not having to sell my body on the streets to get by. Every single Dollar, Euro, Pound, and Koku would be immensely appreciated.
As a little thank you for donating, I have procured some game keys to give away. Sponsored by Creative Assembly I have 5 keys to give away, the winners of these keys will be able to choose one of the following games; Three Kingdoms, WARHAMMER 2, Thrones of Britannia, or Rome 2. I will personally also provide a game key for the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, as it comes with the new video card and I personally have no interest in it and I would rather it go to someone who will make good use of it. In order to be eligible for the giveaway you will have to donate a minimum of $10, €10, or £10.
Yours truly,
Marc (MrSmartDonkeyLP)"
