The Braves' new Ace makes his official home debut in the ATL, as his team faces their division rivals, the New York Mets. Their rivalry was fierce throughout the late 1990s and 2000s. Their first encounter was in 1969 where the "Miracle" Mets swept the Braves in the NLCS and won their first World Series title, prior to the division realignment.
