My Opinion On SBMM ( Farm 18 Gameplay )
10Alright Ladies And Gentle Men We Are Back With Some Call Of Duty MW2 On Farm House 18, And I Am Your Host Mr.Flatface The Man Of Many Faces And Even More Opinions And I Always Have A Opinion About Call OF Duty.
My First Opinion In This Video Is That Farm House 18 Is Probably The Only Other Good Map In This Game, Other Then Hydro Electric, If I Am Honest. It Just Seems To flow Better Then The Other Maps, Even Though There Are Some Crazy Good Camping Spots In It, That Are Pretty Hard To Uproot The Camper From, Though That’s Another Video.
This Video Is Me A Casual Player Throwing My Hat And unsolicited Opinion Into The Sbmm Matchmaking Debate. Is It Good IS It Bad I Cant Say for Sure All I Can Do Is Give You My Opinion And Then Have A Conversation About It, With At Least Having Laid The Foundation To My Side Of The Debate.
Now I Should First State I Am A Filthy Call Of Duty Casual I Have Never Competed For Money In Tournaments, And I Have Never Made Money From Any Of The Games, I Am Just A Guy Who Wants To Get On With My Friends At The End Of The Day And Play A Game With My Friends And Family And Relax. Maybe Do A Bit Of Trash Talk And Get Some Wins.
Also To Put A Me In A Skill Bracket I would Say That I Am A Above Average Player Not Great But Also Not Bad. Now That Is If You Take Sbmm Out Of The Equation, Because Solo Gameplay, Thats Playing Without A Squad, Is Much Different Then Playing With A Group Of Players. And That Brings Us To Our First Point.
What Is Skill Based Matchmaking Or SBMM For Short.
SBMM is a matchmaking process that groups players of a similar skill level together when creating online lobbies, with the goal of creating a fairer and more balanced multiplayer experience.
And That Means
If you Are Less Skilled You Go Against Other People Who Are Not As Good (AKA Noobs vs Noobs ) And If You Are A Good Player You Will Be Match With Fellow Good Players ( AKA Pros vs Pros )
These Statements Are Mostly True When It Comes To Solo Play As That’s When Skill Based Matchmaking Will Be The Strictest. I Guess If You And Your Squad Are All Very Similar In Skill It Would Have The Same Result But For The Sake Of My Stand Point I Will Say My 6 Man Squad Varies In Skill Level From Relatively New To Seasoned Player.
Now This Sounds Great On Paper But In Reality Is The Opposite. Lets For The Sake Of Argument That You Are A 2KD Player That Would Mean That You Will Be Matched With roughly A 2KD Lobbie Plus Or Minus Lets Say .25 of A KD.
That Would Make That Game On Average A 1kd Game For You And Most The Players In That Lobby.
To Put That In Simple Terms You Would Get A Kill And Then You Would Die Essentially Trading Kills Until The Score limit Is Met. This Often Makes Games Run Out The Time Or Will Entice Camping For Score Streaks And Or A Positive KD.
